Overview
The digitally excluded face a wide range of obstacles on a daily basis, both in terms of their access to the job market and challenges when accessing government and other online services.
The Get Digital basic skills framework shows a standard of what citizens and organisations need to achieve to participate fully in the digital world, and how to get there. The framework sets out the 5 main areas of digital capability, and sets out in detail what each category means for both individuals and organisations. By using a common measurement framework to determine levels of digital skills we can ensure that everyone achieves the same minimum standards.
