Hope Leyson is the founder/Education Director of The Laren School, an inclusive school for students ages 3-16. She is concurrently a lecturer at the Ateneo De Manila University, Department of Education. She holds an Master's degree in Special Education and a Post Master's de-gree in Advanced Studies in Education from Loyola University, Maryland. She is a Mon-tessori certified teacher for ages 3-12 years old from Montessori Institute of Atlanta and Washington Montessori Institute in the US. She is certified to teach at the Adolescent level through the training program of NAMTA, which was held at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA; and a obtained her certification as Orton-Gillingham Reading Interventionist from the Institute of Multi-Sensory Education in Minnesota, USA. She is a published writer/contributor to AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) Journal Publications and has presented in several conferences and congresses in the Philippines, USA and Europe. Having been in the field of education for the past 32 years, she has taught in all age levels from pre-school to graduate levels. She considers herself a bookworm, a painter and a novice wood-carver.

Prof. Gazi Mahabubul Alam, FRSA, PhD is currently working as the Chairman of Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Central University of Science and Technology (CUST), Dhaka, Bangladesh. With a vision of preparing CUST as one of the top universities in the Southern Asia, he has been playing a very crucial role. In order to instil the factual concept of university with the sector of private Higher Education (HE), he is taking some well-timed decisions. Prior to his current appointment, Prof. Alam has worked as a Professor of Higher Education at the University of Malaya (UM). In addition to his professorial role, he served as the Chief Consultant of the Academic Performance Enhancement Unit. His key role as the Chief Consultant was to support the VC in uplifting UM global ranking.

Gazi received the award of Fellowship (FRSA) from the Royal Society of Arts. He also received the award of best scholar at the area of education economics and policy from the Science Digest in 2011. In addition to these, his paper on private higher education received the best citation award in the year of 2011 (http://archive.sciencewatch.com/dr/fmf/2011/11janfmf/11janfmfAlam/) from the Thomson Reuters (ISI/WoS). Prof. Gazi has published a significant number of ISI indexed journal articles and these articles have received a notable amount of citations.

Further to the MBA, in order to work in the area of Education, he later studied MA in International Education & Development at the University of Sussex. He obtained PhD from the University of Nottingham in the area of HE.

Shahriar Ahmed Chowdhury obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1997 and M.Sc. in Renewable Energy from University of Oldenburg, Germany in 2006 with the highest marks in the graduating class. He has the working experience in Bangladesh power sector for a decade [Planning and Design of BPDB &system control & grid circle of DESA]. He has established and the founding director of the Centre for Energy Research at United International University. Mr. Chowdhury has designed and initiated a course in Renewable Energy for the first time in Bangladesh for the undergraduate students of EEE department.

Shahriar has invented a novel dry fabrication process (alternate buffer layer) for CIGS thin film solar cell with highest efficiency at the time (2006) in Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research at Stuttgart, Germany. In 2016 one of his research project “Peer-to-Peer Smart Village Grid” funded by World Bank and IDCOL won the “UN Momentum for Change 2016” award in Marrakesh, Morroco in CoP 22 and “Intersolar Award 2016” in Munich, Germany. His another research project “Smart Solar Irrigation System” won the “Inter University Innovative Project Award-2016“ organized by Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh. Mr. Chowdhury was the supervisor of the finalist student project for the IEEE International Future Energy Challenge, 2009 in Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA.

As a team leader he has performed the first two technical auditing of the Solar Home Systems installed all over Bangladesh under IDCOL program. He is the technical designer of the first ever Utility scale grid connected solar PV project of Bangladesh (Engreen Sharishabari 3.28 MWp, CoD- August, 2017). He is involved in designing Kaptai 7.4 MW (BPDB) and Sirajganj 7.6 MWp (NWPGCL) solar PV projects. He is also supporting RPCL for the development of their 250 MWp grid tied solar PV project at Mollahat, Bagerhat. So far he has designed more than 28 solar diesel hybrid minigrids for rural electrification.

As a power & energy sector expert he has drafted the Net Metering Guidelines for Bangladesh and was involved in projects like Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100, Bangladesh Energy and Emission Modeling 2050, Supporting implementation of Bangladesh Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan (BCCSAP), Bangladesh off grid energy sector assessment, etc. He has working experience in projects funded by World Bank, UNDP, ADB, DFID, EPSRC, DECC, GIZ, kfW, JICA, GoB, IDCOL etc. He has developed a Solar PV minigrid laboratory at his University by the grant support from the World Bank. Mr. Chowdhury has jointly initiated a bi-yearly International Conference on Renewable Energy (www.icdret.uiu.ac.bd), this is first conference of its’ kind in Bangladesh. He is the author of more than 45 book articles, journal papers and conference proceedings. He has working and project experience in Bangladesh, Germany, UK, Kenya and Nigeria. He is the Member of Expert Panel of IEC for Systems Evaluation Group (SEG 4) on "Low Voltage Direct Current Applications“.

Ms. Ghaida S. Al Rawashdeh is the Head of General Education Department and the Director of the English Language Center at Al Falah University since its inception in 2015. Ms. Al Rawashdeh is an active member of the University Council , the Advisory Board for the Website and Social Media Committee, the Quality Assurance Committee, Audit Committee and the Timetable Committee too. She chaired the Course File Committee and the Audit Committee in 2016- 2017 and was the emcee for the university’s International Conference in 2017.Currently, Ms. Al Rawashdeh is chairing the university’s Students Innovation Club and has supervised many of the students projects which were supported by several governmental organizations such as Mohammed bin Rashid smart majlis.

She obtained her BA degree in English Languages and Literature from University of Jordan and then proceeded to take her postgraduate education in Brunel University in London, United Kingdom where she received her MA in Contemporary Literature and Culture in 2010.

Ms Thian Ai Ling is the Deputy General Manager of My First Skool (MFS) by NTUC First Campus, a network of 136 childcare centres (to-date) in Singapore, and the General Manager of afterschool, a school-based student care service in primary schools offered by NTUC First Campus, aimed at meeting working families’ demand for reliable, quality after-school care. At MFS, Ms Thian leads and develops systems for quality assurance and practice leadership. She had initiated various quality-improvement/change-management initiatives, e.gs. K-to-Primary transition, technology strategic mapping, niches’-development with partners and agencies, inter-generational programming and others. She also coaches her team of Area Directors, Cluster Quality Managers and Centre Principals on Systems Thinking, Strategic Planning and Leadership. Before joining the pre-school sector in 2015, Ms Thian spent 18 years with the Ministry of Education, Singapore and had last held the posts of Cluster Superintendent and Principal with the Ministry of Education. Dr. Dwarika Prasad Uniyal is currently Professor and Dean of FLAME School of Business, FLAME University.

Professor Uniyal comes with rich and varied experience of more than 20 years in premier academic institutions and industry. His last assignment was with IIM Kashipur as Assistant Dean where he headed the Dehradun campus and managed the complete spectrum of Executive Education. He was one of the founding faculty members of IIM Kashipur and was instrumental in scaling up its operations, create the industry and global outreach. In an academic career spanned over two decades, Professor Uniyal taught at premier Business Schools like MICA, Ahmedabad, SPJIMR, Mumbai and SP Jain School of Global Management in Dubai where as the founding faculty and HOD he helped set up the Dubai campus and ran its operations for first two batches.

At MICA he was instrumental in creating two programmes, PG Diploma in Retail Communications Management and PGPCMX (a programme for working executives). After his stints in MICA and SPJIMR, he took an interesting assignment to create a new business school from scratch at Himachal Pradesh as the Founding Dean and started Chitkara Business School.

Before joining IIM Kashipur in the founding faculty group, Professor Uniyal was part of O P JINDAL Global University as the Founding Assistant Dean of JINDAL Global Business School. In the past he had been invited by Govt. of India to serve as Professor of Management in India's premier Academy LBSNAA, Mussoriee to train India's Civil Servants. He was also nominated by Govt. of India as national expert in Retailing in Asian Productivity Organization, Tokyo.

Professor Uniyal serves on the board of Braithwaite & Co Ltd, a CPSE in the Ministry of Railways as an Independent Director. He is also an Hon. Chairman of the Advisory Board of social enterprise RANMIR Foundation working in the space of handloom fashion across 7 states. He also serves on the Board of Management of leading academic institutes in Uttarakhand and is on the advisory boards of few start-up firms of his ex-students and mentors them regularly.

Over the years he has been invited to deliver keynotes lectures and conduct workshops and corporate training programmes across US, UK, Middle East, Japan, China, South East Asia and India. As a visiting faculty he has taught at many top business schools across India and abroad. He incubated two companies of his students in the past and ran businesses in retailing and analytics. Dr. Dilara Begum is the Associate Professor and Chairperson of Information Studies and Library Management department and Librarian (Acting) at East West University. She has completed her B.A (Hons.) and M.A from University of Dhaka and Ph. D. from Punjabi University Patiala, India. She has more than 18 years experiences in research, teaching, and information management. Her research interest includes information management, digital library, information literacy etc. She served as a Full-Time Faculty at Maldives National University, Male, Maldives in 2011. She is currently acting as elected Secretary of Information Literacy Section of International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). She is also acting as General Secretary, Digital Library Network of South Asia (DLNetSA). Beside these, she also played significant and diversified role such as: Country Coordinator of Information Literacy Consortium sponsored by UNESCO, Standing Committee Member of ECIL in 2013 to till now to organize the European conference of Information literacy, elected Senior Vice President and Women Affairs Secretary of Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB) from 2009-2014, Acting President of Library Association of Bangladesh in 2012. She has more than thirty (30) national and international publications. She had opportunity to visit more than 25 countries for academic research and professional functions as well as international conferences. She is considered one of the pioneer of Digital Library building in Bangladesh and as well as an international expert on the mentioned field.

Vivekanand Education Society: VES under the leadership of Shri Hashu ji Advani dreamt of providing livelihood skills, Education for students from middle and lower income groups. Vivekanand Education Society through its 26 educational institutions and with 20000 students, over the past 50 years has helped nurture an intellectual endeavour that focus critical and creative thinking, with the aim of transformation, inculcating both human and spiritual values in students. Beyond the academic, students contribute and participate in health awareness programs, blood donation camps, village adoption programs and so on.

BJP wing of College students from top twenty colleges of Mumbai like Mitibhai College, Ruparel College, KC College, HR College, Jai Hind, Bhavans, Parle Tilak, Dhanukar, Vivekanand Education Society and so on.
The wing was founded and inaugurated by Late Shri Gopinath Munde and MLA Rajporohit as Guest of Honor. The primary objective of this wing is to provide the platform for the students to come together and contribute towards the development of the city and upliftment of the underprivileged. The wing contributes towards the free education, health care for poor students. The Mangal Disha wing generates the fund through various commercial cultural activities at various auditoriums of the colleges performed by the students and use the same funds in Uddan Trust for social welfare activities as mentioned above.

Sadguru Swami Jairamdas Sansthan: Along with spiritual activities the trust conducts regular Health care campaign, Blood donation drive, sponsors the needy students for their schooling and other talented activities. Trust distributes the books among the underprivileged kids of nearby slums every year.

Active member of Chembur Lion’s Club and represents the district as Vice President. As a team leader, responsible for following community social development activities under Seva Dhan project.
•   20,000 is donated as Education fund for needy students every year
•   50,000 is donated for the health care and hospital fees for poor families
•   Grains collected from Lion member in huge quantities is distributed among the lower Strat of people living in slums along with Rs. 500 in cash
•   Being a legal expert, handles the legal and judicial grievances of the people who cannot afford the cost of legal formats. Trustee of Bhartiya Sindhu Sabha- BSS is a social, educational and cultural organization. Main activities consists of financial help to poor students who want to prosecute higher studies, to preserve and promote Sindhi culture and language, to eradicate evils from the community, to promote a sense of patriotism among the citizens, to strengthen panchayats to run Sindhi classes, to arrange for free medical camps for all poor citizens, to run free marriage bureaus, counselling and guidance to students etc.

As a trustee member support the functioning of Chembur Vidya Samithi which caters the Balwadi, Nursery education for the toddlers of Chembur, Ghatkoper, Govandi and Kurla

As a Trustee of Manav Seva Samiti promotes social and cultural activities among the community through sponsoring Education, adopting students and providing medical help.

Prof Dr Mohd Hamdan Ahmad is currently the Dean of Faculty of Built Environment (FABulous), UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM) and the UTM Director of MIT UTM Malaysia Sustainable Cities Program (MIT UTM MSCP). He was Executive Director of the Institut Sultan Iskandar (ISI), a wholly owned company of UTM from 2009 to 2017. His research expertise includes sustainable cities and architecture design, building climatology, smart cities and architecture education. He contributed in the Blueprints for Low Carbon Society of Iskandar Malaysia and Low Carbon Society 2030 for Kuala Lumpur. He is a green building promoter and consultant affiliated to GreenRE, CasbeeIskandar Malaysia, GBI rating tools. A prominent judge for Green Accord Initiative Award (GAIA) for Iskandar Malaysia. He has developed two experimental houses: Nichias Ecohouse and the Door House for the Poor (ODOORS). He joined UTM since 1988 and promoted as full Professor in 2008. He earned his PhD in Architecture from University of Manchester in 1997 and Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, USA in 1987. He pledges to continue crusading green and sustainable development agenda that is appropriate to the Tropical context through involvement in teaching, research, consultancy and postgraduate supervision.

Dr. Sonam Mansukhani has served the academia for twenty-five years. She did her PhD in Sociology is also from University of Mumbai on “Informal Relationships in formal organizations: Relevance of informal relationships to decision making in a structured organization’. She taught Sociology and Management Studies at Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai for twenty years. She was also faculty for Management Studies. She was also the coordinator for B.M.M. (Bachelor of Mass Media) in the same institution. In the last three years, she worked as Associate Professor and Chair, Summer Immersion Program at FLAME University, Pune. She taught courses in Sociology and Public Speaking and Debating Skills. As faculty, FLAME University, Pune, she mentored students, advising them in academic and related matters. She is the recipient of the Award for Teaching Excellence by the Indus Foundation, Indo-American Summit, 2016. She has presented papers at several conferences and has several publications to her credit. Thomas Schroepfer is Professor of Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He began his academic career at Harvard University, where he was appointed Assistant Professor of Architecture in 2004 and Associate Professor of Architecture in 2008. He was named Full Professor after joining SUTD in 2011, where he became Associate Head of Pillar of ASD, Co-Director of the SUTD-JTC I3 Centre and Director of the University’s award-winning Advanced Architecture Laboratory. He held visiting professorships at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the National University of Singapore. In 2015, he was appointed member of the Singapore-ETH Centre Future Cities Laboratory Steering Committee. His book publications have been translated into several languages and include Dense + Green: Innovative Building Types for Sustainable Urban Architecture (2016), Ecological Urban Architecture: Qualitative Approaches to Sustainability (2012) and Material Design: Informing Architecture by Materiality (2011). He is the recipient of prestigious awards and recognitions including the German Design Award, Singapore Design Award and Asia Education Leadership Award. His projects have been exhibited at important international venues, including the Venice Architecture Biennale, the World Architecture Festival and the World Congress of Architecture.
